Champakkulam Boat Race

Champakulam boat race is organized and symbolizes the beginning of the season for boat races in Kerala. The boat race is named after the village of Champakulam. The race is organized on River Pamba. It is more famous for the snake boat race. It is an ultimate test of endurance; speed and skill with approximately 100 rowers on each boat. They undergo rigorous training to take part is this race.
