Teej festivals fall in the monsoon in July/August. The festival marks the unity of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva. Married women pray to Lord Shiva and Parvati to bless them with happy and long married life. Women after getting dressed swing on the decorated swings, hung from tress and observe fast. Fairs and processions are conducted during this festival starting with convoy of beautified elephants, horses and camels. Various folk dances are performed to the tunes of folk songs during this rally.
