Gangaur Festival

Gangaur Festival is rejoiced with great enthusiasm and happiness in Jaipur. This festival is held in the honor of Goddess Parvati (wife of Lord Shiva). It begins on the day after Holi and is celebrated for 10 days marking the end of winter season and the coming of spring season. On the last day a grand procession is held which is headed by a colorful show of elephants, old palanquins, chariots, bullock carts and performance folk artistes.
