Desert Festival

Desert festival is held in Jaisalmer annually around January – February. It is organized by the Department of Tourism. The festival takes place for 3 days showcasing the rich and colorful Rajasthani folk culture. The Tribal men and women dress up in vibrant colors and sing ballads of valour, romance and tragedy. The attractions of the festivals are - puppeteers, acrobats, camel tattoo shows, camel races, camel polo, traditional processions, camel mounted bands, folk dances, etc.
